In drum kit, there are some types of cymbal. They are crash cymbal, clash cymbal, and hi-hat cymbal. The difference among those kinds of cymbals is in the size and tight that affect the sound. The hi-hat cymbal is used to keep the constant tempo of drum.

The clash cymbal actually should be played in pairs, usually used in orchestra or marching band. However, in a drum kit, it only stands alone and played individually.
